Open Question: please help me, wanna buy a car, car payment trouble?

ok, so im gonna give you my current situation and hopefully someone can help me out. ive never bought a car before, i dont really know how it works, at all. . i want a nice car, i mean not like a porsche or anything, but like maybe a 2006 mustang or a charger or something like that. so i have $1000 for a down payment. but i only make like $400 a month, i could only afford about a $250 monthly car payment at most. would a car dealership be able to work with me on this? or is this situation hopeless? lol i dont NEED a car right now, so please dont duggest buying a cheaper car, i couldve figured that out on my own, lol. i want a nice car, so if this situation is hopeless, im willing to just hold off till i get a second or better job (which im already working on doing) so id just wait till then. but id really like to get started on it, and id like to have my car now, so is this possible? input and advice appreciated. thanks a lot =] *suggest (not duggest) i probably shouldve mentioned that i only just recently turned 18. im still at home, so i dont have to pay other expenses except a small rent fee, and it would probably be under my parents name. does that make a differance?... read more
